Applications

ECA technology has a number of applications ideally suited to military and civil defence organisations. The production on-site and in-field of a safe and completely effective biocide has many uses in environments where rapid response to microbial and biological contamination incidents paramount.

ECA technology has been tested by a number of armed forces around the world in field trials and now forms part of risk response and control strategies in various armed forces and civil defences. As part of the trials it was validated that Anthrax and Botulinum-A were eliminated instantly on contact with anolyte biocide.

The main applications include:

• Field-based water treatment and purification for drinking and washing water
• Emergency water supply purification for battlefield and disaster zones
• Field hospital disinfectant generator and infection control agent
• At-risk personnel, plant and equipment decontamination of biological agents
• Destruction of various chemical agents

The production of unlimited anolyte from ordinary water, salt and low voltage electricity can be easily achieved from any location irrespective of how remote or distressed. Production facilities can be portable making the technology easily transportable and ready for use immediately on deployment. These logistical qualities when combined with the biocidal properties of anolyte make it the ideal rapid response to conflict and disaster events.
